New Alcohol Sense Materials

Signs Must be Posted Feb. 1

All licensed liquor establishments in BC must replace their old Alcohol Sense materials no later than February 1st.  At least one new poster or tent card must be prominently displayed.

These new materials are part of the BC government’s commitment to encourage the responsible sale, service, and consumption of liquor. The new Alcohol Sense promotional materials were developed by the Mandatory Display Advisory Committee, which is a collaboration of industry groups including ABLE BC, the Ministry of Health, LCLB, LDB, and the Centre for Addictions Research of BC.

Poma Dhaliwal, President of ABLE BC says, “The collaborative nature of this campaign has resulted in materials that our membership will proudly display prominently in their establishments. The promotion of responsible drinking in the form of moderation is in the best interest of both the bars and restaurants and their clients.”

The BC government hopes that this social responsibility campaign will promote moderation and encourage responsible alcohol consumption.
