Volumes Up in Manitoba’s Liquor Stores

Sales of wine, spirits & RTDs Increase

Revenue from liquor sales in the 2016/2017 fiscal year increased 2.4% over the previous year. Wine, spirits and refreshment beverage sales all increased in volume and dollars, however, beer volume was down, even though dollar sales were up. According to the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries’ annual report “Customers continue to display a preference for premium products, most notably in spirits… The Manitoba beer landscape continues to change with the growth in popularity of craft-style, single serve beers.”
