Support the BC Hospitality Foundation

With 2019 underway, the BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is busy planning and implementing our strategic plan for the next five years and beyond.

The board is working to raise more dollars, help more workers and increase the BCHF’s profile so we can find the people who need us most.  We are focused on reaching the next level as a charitable organization.

The BCHF helps hospitality workers who are facing financial crisis due to extraordinary medical circumstances.  The people who apply for our help are often unpleasantly surprised by how easy it is to go from being able to pay the bills independently to needing outside help.  We know that work in the hospitality industry is often part-time, can fluctuate due to seasonal demand, and doesn’t always come with extended medical benefits.  This makes financial planning for unexpected challenges even more important.

In 2019, we hope that hospitality workers and their employers will make a commitment to support the BCHF in our efforts to help those in our community who are experiencing financial hardship due to circumstances outside their control.  Please consider becoming a monthly donor to the BCHF, as every dollar makes a difference in our work.  To donate please click on the Donate Now button on our website www.bchospitalityfoundation.com.  Donor tax receipts are issued in February of the following year.

If you’re a business owner or manager, please consider talking to your employees about starting an employee payroll program.  Individual donations can be as small as $2 per month, but they add up quickly when many businesses in our significant economic sector choose to participate—and of course it helps when business owners lead the way by committing to a monthly donation of their own!  To implement an employee payroll program please contact us at info@bchospitalityfoundation.com.  We’ll issue tax receipts at the end of 2019.
